Death Lingers In Southern Israel As World Waits For What's Next
SDEROT, Israel — I had only been south of Ashkelon for 30 minutes before seeing the Iron Dome in action, intercepting rockets fired by Hamas. So of course my first thought was to film the scene instead of going to the nearby bomb shelter. The Israelis were the ones who went to the shelter without hesitation.
The next few times I did go inside because the missile vs rocket face-off was happening directly above us.
